Tummy Tuck after Gastric Sleeve Procedure in Downers Grove, IL by Dr Paresi*

This patient presented with a large lower abdominal pannus after an 80 lbs weight loss from a gastric sleeve procedure. She was unable to improve her appearance despite diet and exercise. She had a full tummy tuck with liposuction of her waist. We used Exparel intraoperatively injected into the abdominal wall after the plication for postoperative pain control. She also had progressive tension quilting sutures placed with a Quill suture to avoid the need for postoperative drains. A special technique was used to recreate a new, natural appearing belly button. The patient had a uneventful course with a significant improvement in her waistline and profile.
