Tummy Tuck after Gastric Sleeve in Chicago area female in Downers Grove, IL*

This patient presented to the office after a 70 lb weight loss after a gastric sleeve procedure. She had a lower abdominal pannus (excess skin) with extensive stretch marks. We recommended an extended tummy tuck with liposuction of the flanks and a muscle plication. She had the surgery under general anesthesia at our JCAHO accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL. She had a drainless tummy tuck with progressive tension quilting sutures using a barbed suture (Quill). The abdominal wall was injected with Exparel at the time of the surgery for postoperative analgesia that lasts up to five days. She tolerated the procedure well and had an excellent improvement in contour with elimination of the pannus and creation of a waistline.
