This 38 year-old female presented to the office with complaints of excess trunk tissue after a 100 lb weight loss from a gastric bypass operation. She reported that despite all of her efforts she was unable to change her appearance due to all of the excess skin and tissue from the weight loss. Given the circumferential nature of the excess tissue, we recommended a lower body lift procedure to be done under general anesthesia. She tolerated the procedure well and had an uneventful postoperative course. As a result of the procedure, she had restoration of her abdominal and trunk contour as well as an improvement in the shape of her buttocks region. She reports that she is now able to find clothes that fit her and is very happy with the overall improvement in her shape.
