Male breast reduction in 18 year-old Chicago-area male in Downers Grove, IL*

This is am 18 year-old male who presented with gynecomastia (male breasts) since he was an early teenager. The patient had an excision of the gynecomastia using a minimally invasive approach under local anesthesia. He was awake for the procedure. The breast tissue was excised through a 5 mm lateral chest incision using special instruments. A Micro-aire power-assisted liposuction (PAL) machine was also used to suction any fat around the breast tissue and smooth out the result. The patient had a full recovery at six weeks with more chest definition and complete resolution of the appearance of the gynecomastia.
