Rhinoplasty in 37 yr-old Hispanic Chicago area female in Downers Grove, IL*

This is a 37 year-old Hispanic female who presented to the office with a history of nasal trauma as a child. She reported difficulty breathing out of her nose secondary to the injury. She also did not like the appearance of her nose with the nasal hump and drooping nasal tip. She had an open rhinoplasty in our JCAHO accredited facility in Downers Grove, IL under general anesthesia. She had a composite resection of the bony-cartilaginous nasal dorsum, nasal bone in-fractures, shortening of the nose, and creation of a supratip break with increased projection of the nasal tip. The patient tolerated the procedure well and was completely recovered at 3 months. She was very satisfied with her improved profile.
